OPEN MIC NIGHT III

Before Wednesday 9th April 2012, and the third Open Mic night, The Heathland School was yet to discover the talents and potential of many of its students. Not only did we hear voices but the beautiful sounds of strumming guitars and melodic violins. The night was much more than a show, but an open book to many of the students’ feelings and a chance to have the spotlight beaming on them. The mystery headline act consisted of the teachers: Mr Hunter, Miss Thorne, Mr Golub who sang the symphony of Mr Tanner, along with the former Music teacher Miss Bray. The many rehearsals of both students and teachers ensured it was a show to remember. For many Year 11 and 13, it would be their last; however their memories live on through the performances, which dazzled the audience. Well done to all performers especially the teachers who made this night possible.
