School Uniform

 

T H E   H E A T H L A N D   S C H O O L

U N I F O R M

 

Pupils are expected to wear correct uniform at all times including on their journey to and from school. The school believes that a smart and formal appearance is important in encouraging pupils to take pride in themselves and to strive to maintain high standards in all aspects of school life.  The only symbol to be displayed is the school badge.

  • Black blazer (single breasted) with Heathland School badge (purchased separately)

  • Black V-neck Heathland School jumper

  • Formal White shirt

  • Black formal trousers (Alternatively, girls may wear black knee length formal skirts)

  • School tie (clip on only)

  • Plain black socks / tights                                                                                      

  • Plain, dark, formal outdoor coat

  • Hats, gloves and scarves worn in cold weather should be plain black

Note:

Dress must be smart and formal.  Trousers and skirts must be of formal cut and plain material (jeans, cords, baggy or flared trousers and split skirts are not allowed).  Shoes should be black and formal (not trainers, boots or plimsolls; no high heels).

P.E. KIT (SAME FOR GIRLS AND BOYS)

All items of clothing should be labelled with the pupil’s name.  Pupils should ensure that any valuables are handed to a teacher at the beginning of a lesson.

  • Plain white T-shirt with the Heathland crest

  • Navy school sweatshirt with the Heathland crest

  • Navy shorts

  • Navy track suit bottoms for outside sports during the Autumn Term

  • Navy blue games socks (knee length)

  • White ankle sports socks

  • Trainers (non-marking soles)

  • Studded boots

  • Towel

All pupils are asked to provide a bag suitable for carrying books and P.E. items.  School bags should be plain and free of symbols.
