Department Successes

2025 - 26 has been another productive and eventful year for the English Department. KS3 pupils have enjoyed numerous writing competitions,  author visits and workshops.

 

KS4 students enjoyed a brilliant production of Shakespeare's Macbeth, and yr 12 students are looking forward to a trip to see Othello.

 

At A level, also, Media Studies has continued to go from strength to strength. Students have been very fortunate to benefit from new equipment which has allowed them to produce outstanding practical work for coursework.

 

In June, A range of KS3, KS4 and KS5 students attended a wonderful and moving educational trip to the WW1 battlefields of Belgium. Also, in October, A level English Literature students attended a thrilling exam and writing skills workshop at the Green School for Girls

 

Overall, it has been an exciting year which we hope to surpass in 2026 - 27.
