Specification – https://www.ocr.org.uk/images/170844-specification-accredited-a-level-gce-computer-science-h446.pdf

A Level Computer Science is an exciting and challenging subject that develops the knowledge and skills needed for the digital world. Students will learn how computers work, from the principles of programming and algorithms to data representation, computer systems and cybersecurity, while applying these concepts to real world problems. The course encourages creativity, logical thinking and innovation through the design, development and testing of computer programs.

Students also complete a substantial programming project, allowing them to solve a problem of their own choosing and demonstrate their technical skills. Alongside developing strong computational and mathematical thinking, A Level Computer Science equips students with highly valued problem solving and analytical skills that are sought after by universities and employers.
