Last Friday, 30 pupils from Years 7-9 visited the Royal Opera House to see ‘Manon’, Kenneth MacMillan’s acclaimed tragic ballet. Pupils were surprised by how gripping they found the performance. “It was strange without the dialogue at first, but the skill of the dancers was incredible,” said Bhashini De Alwis (7Ke).
This enthusiasm was shared by the pupils from other schools also attending the special performance for secondary students. “I’d definitely come to see something like this again,” Afan Ali (7Ba) remarked on the walk back to the station.
