We have an exciting opportunity to apply for the role of Head of the Mathematics Department,  starting in September 2024. The ability to teach A Level Mathematics is essential.

 

The Heathland School is an 11-18 oversubscribed school with over 1850 students on roll and a large (500+) Sixth Form.

The Mathematics Department is a large, friendly, and vibrant department. In addition to preparing students to achieve their best at GCSE and A-Level, our aim is to instil a life-long love of learning Mathematics.

 

Mathematics is a very popular subject in our Sixth Form and we have a large numbers of students taking courses in A Level Mathematics, Further Mathematics and Level 3 Core Mathematics.

 

We are proud of our results and consistently achieve high academic progress for Mathematics, 2023 results include:

 

Mathematics Progress 8 Significantly above nationally and in 74th percentile

 

Mathematics Attainment 8 Significantly above nationally and in 79th percentile
