Class of 2012-2014

Suhavi joined in 2012 from Slough Grammar School

Having joined the sixth form as an external student, I was soon able to become an integral part of the school community, as a result of its warm and accepting atmosphere. Almost two years later, I continue to enjoy the appealing array of extra-curricular activities, having recently completed the Bosnia Challenge as well as being entrusted with the responsibility of Deputy Head Girl. I am certain the Heathland School Sixth Form has assisted in providing me the platform upon which I am able to venture into the wider world.

Coming to The Heathlands School was probably one of the best life change events in my life. There are dedicated teachers who give me constant help and support to help me improve academically and the school also offers diverse extra-curricular activities which I really enjoy. It’s the best place to make new friends, to engage in hobbies and contribute to the local community.

Maya joined in 2012 from Tiffin Girl’s School

I really enjoyed my transition into The Heathland Sixth form as I found myself pleasantly surprised to find myself at home so quickly. I am fully committed to the school's beliefs and ethos and believe myself to be an integral part of the school as I am a member of the Senior Prefect team. Through my own experience I discovered that the school has an excellent support system for both my personal and academic development. In comparison to the past two secondary schools I attended I felt that The Heathland School was the most easiest to settle into, make new friendship groups and it really has help me to reach my full academic potential.

Harmanjit joined in 2012 from The Guru Nanak Sikh Academy

Sixth form at the Heathland School is truly a unique experience.  Alongside providing me with academic support throughout the year, teachers genuinely cared about providing me with great opportunities to help me develop on a personal level. Over the year I attended a commonwealth event where I was lucky enough to see his Royal Highness Prince Phillip and I also attended amazing lectures at the London School of Economics and even a two day residential summer school at the prestigious Cambridge University. This was alongside a taster days at various universities. I was also given access to exclusive tickets to see amazing shows in London such as theatre productions and even the ballet. I have enjoyed my educational experience at the Heathland School as I believe the school truly cares about each individual student and in helping them fulfill their potential.

Josh joined in 2012 from the Mathew Arnold School

Joining The Heathland School has granted me the opportunity to achieve more than I thought possible in an academic yet caring environment. The vast array of extra-curricular activities available ranging from the Bosnia challenge to the CERN excursion has prepared me to tackle the challenges of higher education while enhancing class room knowledge into its applications in real world problems. I could not comprehend a better overall experience of Sixth Form and the avenues that have opened for me through studying at The Heathland School.

Gurpreet Sachdeva joined in 2012 from Heston community

The Heathland School has given me many opportunities to become a significant part of the sixth form. I am now a Senior Prefect, Senior House captain and Subject captain for Chemistry.  I have thoroughly enjoyed working with staff, experiencing leadership and the responsibility of my roles. I believe I have been able to gain the skills to help me at university. Whilst being encouraged to adopt an independent approach to my learning, I found out that teachers have always been ready to help.

Adaam Mann joined in 2012 from Orleans Park School

It feels that I have achieved so much in my short time at The Heathland School Sixth Form. The friendly atmosphere meant that I settled in quickly and I have made many close friends. I have been given countless opportunities: from spending ten days at the Eton Summer School and shadowing a student at the University of Cambridge to a work placement at Ealing Hospital. I have also taken part in two musical performances and hosted the annual ‘Strictly Come Bangra’ charity event.
